Wedding JournalSep 6, 2005 We've got final counts for the reception. 80 adults and 6 kids. We're really grateful that so many friends and family can attend, and we'll be sure to share picutres and stories with those who couldn't make it. Sep 4, 2005 "Ha ha ha", we would scoff, "how hard could a seating arangement be?" Well, 3 hours later we think we've got things laid out ok at last. Lots of other little details to take care of, too, but everything's falling into place. August 7, 2005 Rob's parents visited chicago and joined us for the tasting. Looks like the reception food is going to turn out great. July 24th 2005 Wow. Painting's all done. No more excuses... need get back on the wedding kick July 14th 2005 We closed on the condo. July 3rd 2005 We started mailing out invitations. Here's hoping the Chicago Postal Service doesn't lose too many of them. April 27, 2005 House hunting has been more exhausting then planning a wedding. The closing date for the condo is mid July. April 17, 2005 Wedding attendants are finalized. Thanks to the attendants for their past and future help. We are looking forward to have an afternoon of celebration. April 12, 2005 As part of "being married" class, we have to answer a pretty thorough questionnaire. 160-some questions. Kaitlyn rips through it in about 10 minutes while I take significantly longer, carefully weighing if i "strongly agree" or "agree". April 5, 2005 Kaitlyn's 27th birthday. This must be the first birthday with all the Hwang family together since Kaitlyn was 10 years old. It was great to have everyone together. April 2, 2005 We were at California looking at bilingual wedding invitations. With the help of my brother, Su-Ho, we only had to go to one invitation store. My dad wrote the invitations the day earlier and the five of us (mom, dad, Su-Ho, Rob, and me) told the shop manager what we wanted. I hope the invitations turn out okay considering it took three spoken languages (English, Mandarin, and Taiwanese) to have the invitations made. Thanks to Su-Ho for taking care of the invitations. March 30, 2005 Almost done planning. Just have to pick out a band. March 22, 2005 Took the tour of Fourth Presbyterian Church and got the lowdown on the facilities. Ann Meuse exudes confidence and organization. February 6, 2005 Rob proposes to Kaitlyn at Sai Cafe. Yeah, no horse-drawn carriages or 96th floor of the Hancock building, but she still says yes! |
