We picked up a TomTom One in-car GPS in the spring of 2007. I picked the One because it was cheap. As it turns out, it's been a great purchase. Not only has it lived up to expectations, but it (unbenownst to me) runs Linux. Here's what we've done (or could do) with the One:

• While designed for the car, the 3 hour battery life means we can take it geocaching, as long as the cache is not too remote.
• Make your own voice profile for the Narrator.
